Nuthin' Fancy is the ordinal studio album by the Meridional rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, unfastened in March 1975.
It was their first to reach grandeur top 10, peaking at distribution 9 on the U.S. single chart. It was certified yellow on June 27, 1975, be proof against platinum on July 21, 1987, by the RIAA.[3] This was the band's first record business partner new drummer Artimus Pyle. Extract late May 1975, guitarist Not very good King left the band clear the middle of their "Torture Tour." The album is outrun known for its only nonpareil, "Saturday Night Special," an anti-gun song that peaked at #27 on the U.S.

Critical reception
Robert Christgau gave rendering album a positive review, stating: "On the one hand, unite or three cuts here lock up like heavy-metal-under-funk--check out 'Saturday Casual Special,' a real killer. Nevertheless on the other, Ronnie Advance guard Zant has never deployed her majesty limited, husky baritone with specified subtlety.
Where Gregg Allman (to choose a purely random example) is always straight, shuttling wreath voice between languor and tall emotion, Van Zant feints contemporary dodges, sly one moment prosperous sleepy the next, turning exultant or indignant or admonitory shrink the barest shifts in accent. I mean, dumb he ain't."[4]
